As a web-based solution that provides standard browser interfaces for all users, SmartNews eliminates the high costs of software maintenance on client PCs and the need to upgrade your current operating systems and hardware.
Supporting NewsML, SmartNews manages all the content of a newspaper - stories, agency inputs, internet, advertisements, photos, graphics, archive, pagination - and integrates perfectly with the mainstream prepress production systems. And when content is finalised for print it can be easily repurposed for the web, news syndication or any new format.
Unicode is fully supported making SmartNews ideal for non-Latin applications and we have installations in the Middle East (Arabic) and India (Indian scripts).

NewsHound Wire
NewsHound Wire is a Wire retrieval and aggregation software that automates the news gathering. This application logs on to the delivery source of the news agency, pick up categorised news according to predefined keywords, download the latest stories to a server, and then distributes these among your news desks. NewsHound Graphic is an application that reads IPTC header data from the photos received from news agencies, generates thumbnails and populates the same information in a Notes database with a link to the actual photograph.

SmartPlan is a desktop application for organizing the day's work in a newspaper organization. For a given location, and a publication, it generates a page plan, creates structured work-area folders, and creates a Dynamic Production Tracking document.
